Parent Portal:
Parent Portal is a secured Internet source for
information about your child’s key school information. Last school year, middle and high school
parents in Albemarle County gained the ability to use Parent Portal. Beginning in the fall of 2013, all elementary
schools in the county will have access as well.
This year, selected teachers, parents, and schools will pilot the parent
portal for elementary schools. More
information on parent portal will be shared as it becomes available.

Report Card:
Over
the last few years, elementary educators have shared concerns over the
representation of the academic strengths and needs of students displayed with
the current report card template. Last
spring, elementary teachers and principals created district report card
committees with grade level representatives from each school. Over the next few months, this group will
view report card drafts to decide how to move forward with a new elementary
report card template. Once a report card
template has been decided on, work will begin on how, and if, report cards
should be included on the Parent Portal at the elementary level.
This
is a site for ongoing communication from Mrs. King about programs,
initiatives, and updates at our school.
